Southbourne School of English is a family run school that was established in 1966.
It is located in a beautiful residential area of Bournemouth where young families and professionals live. All our families are within walking distance of the school.
Southbourne is a friendly, safe and clean area and is on very good bus routes. The capital city of London is under a 2-hour train ride away, home to some of the UK’s most iconic landmarks and history, such as Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, London Eye and Buckingham Palace.
The school is only a short walk from the local high street with great coffee shops, bars and restaurants and only 10 minutes’ walk to the beautiful beach stretch which has won the award of Best Beach in Britain. Bournemouth is only 5 kms away and as a famous University town offers a huge variety of night life.
On the beach you can really get a taste for the outdoor lifestyle and try a new hobby with volleyball courts, water sports, rock climbing and slack lining, or you can just enjoy the views and breathe in the fresh sea air.
Southbourne School is surrounded by areas of interest, such as the glorious New Forest National Park. The Jurassic Coast World Heritage site is also nearby, with over 185 million years of history. This 96-mile stretch of coastline contains ancient fossils and stunning landmarks such as Durdle Door.
Stonehenge, Winchester; the old capital of England, Portsmouth and Southampton - where the Titanic was launched are all also under 1 hour away.
The school is open all year round for individual adult students and juniors including groups from 9 years upwards, offering first class education in a welcoming and caring environment.
