The so called “vantage points” are excellent spots that may or may not be free depending on how late you leave it. The party itself is very well-structured and organized with bathrooms and plenty of places to get food and drink. It’s worth remembering that the consumption of alcohol is forbidden in public spaces. Birchgrove Park - on the edge of Sydney Harbour (8am - 1:30am). Rose St, Sydney NSW 2041

Bradfield Park - views from both the east and west sides of Sydney Bay’s bridge, the location can be reached via trains and buses for Milsons Point and North Sydney. Alfred St S, Milsons Point NSW 2061

Sydney Opera House, Bennelong Point - the most famous. Arrive early (7:30am - 1:30am). Sydney NSW 2000

Darling Harbour - views of the fireworks at Cockle Bay from 9PM to midnight from here. Sydney NSW 2000

Dawes Point Park - Located under Sydney Harbour Bridge and Bradfield Highway on the south side of the harbour, offering a beautiful view of the fireworks (12:30pm - 1am). Dawes Point NSW 2000

Sydney Opera House - Australia’s most famous spot is an unforgettable place to watch the fireworks. Pay a fixed price that will give you food, drinks and live shows for the whole evening.

Royal Botanic Garden - Apart from a luxurious experience and full dinner at midnight, the garden has the best views in town for the fireworks show. Mrs Macquaries Rd, Sydney NSW 2000

Pirrama Park - fantastic views on Pirrama Park wharf with a 3-course menu plus a glass of either sparkling wine, wine or soda. Pirrama Rd, Pyrmont NSW 2009  

Harbour Cruises - Offering an unforgettable view and tickets often include food and drink.  There are multiple options, just pick one that fits your budget and taste. Can be expensive. Book early.
